This policy explains how vendors can participate, and why those boundaries exist.

Why Vendor Boundaries Matter

AIiHC exists to support learning, discussion, and responsible use of AI in healthcare.

Industry expertise is valuable — but promotional activity can quickly undermine:

trust
open discussion
psychological safety
educational value

This policy protects:

healthcare professionals
patients
vendors themselves
the long-term integrity of the community

Who Is Considered a Vendor

This policy applies to anyone participating in AIiHC who:

represents a commercial company
develops, sells, or markets AI or digital health products
is employed by or formally affiliated with such organizations

This includes founders, employees, consultants, and contractors.

Allowed Participation

Vendors and industry professionals may:

participate in educational discussions
share general knowledge about AI, regulation, or implementation
answer direct questions transparently when asked
disclose affiliations clearly when relevant
engage respectfully with clinicians, researchers, and others

Participation should focus on learning and context, not persuasion.

Not Allowed in Discussion Spaces

Within AIiHC discussion areas, vendors may not:

promote products or services
post marketing material or links
initiate sales conversations
compare products competitively
repeatedly reference their own solutions
use private messages for unsolicited outreach

AIiHC is not a sales funnel, lead-generation platform, or marketing channel.

Transparency Is Required

When participating, vendors are expected to:

disclose relevant affiliations when appropriate
avoid anonymous or misleading participation
speak from experience, not marketing language

Transparency builds trust — both for the individual and the company they represent.

How This Policy Is Applied

Moderators may:

redirect posts
request clarification or disclosure
remove content that violates this policy
limit participation if boundaries are repeatedly crossed

Moderation is done with explanation and proportionality.

This policy is not anti-industry.

It exists so that:

clinicians can ask honest questions
vendors can engage without suspicion
discussions remain credible and useful
patients remain at the center
