How it began
It did not begin with a finished plan.
It began with practical questions that were surprisingly difficult to answer.

Open worldwide to people involved in implementation, adoption, innovation and research - across professions, organisations and areas of expertise.
Shared practical experienceWhy this community exists
Healthcare AI is discussed in research, guidance, meetings and conferences. Yet the practical experience of selecting, implementing, adopting and living with it can remain difficult to find.
AI in Healthcare Community helps people find one another, ask unfinished questions and share what happened in practice - including what did not go as planned.

How it began
It began with practical questions that were surprisingly difficult to answer.
Read Our StoryWhat matters here
Not a corporate values list - a practical guide to the kind of community we are trying to build.
What happened when an idea, application or plan met the reality of healthcare.
Difficult experiences can be as useful as successful ones when they are shared responsibly.
No single profession or organisation can see the complete picture of healthcare AI.
Useful conversations grow through contribution, curiosity and respect - not hierarchy.
Who it is for
Clinicians, researchers, IT professionals, implementation teams, healthcare leaders, policymakers, legal professionals and people from industry all bring a different part of the picture.
There is no restriction by country or profession. Discussion areas will grow gradually as people and useful conversations gather around them.
Alongside, not instead
Professional societies do important work within their fields. AI in Healthcare Community is not intended to replace them.
It provides an open place where practical conversations can continue across professional boundaries and between meetings. If you belong to a society, remain part of it. This community sits alongside it.
Independence and support
AI in Healthcare Community is currently held and funded through a company created by the founder to support its development. The company has no commercial role in the community.
Support is welcome from people and organisations who share its purpose. Support does not buy ownership, influence over discussions, access to member information or promotion within the community.
The people behind the beginning
The first conversations involved three perspectives. The community itself will be shaped by the people who take part.

An open beginning
The community is open. What it becomes will depend on the questions, experiences and perspectives people bring into it.
